Howard Johnson hotel at Disneyland has long been known as the value hotel for
vacations. At Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif.,
this hotel overlooking the Disneyland theme park
is no exception. While you can spend a lot more
and stay at the theme park's very own Disneyland
brand hotels, why spend an extra $100, when you
need the money for food, incidentals, and
tickets?
Our
recommendation for budget minded travelers is to
forgo the hallways and gift shops inside the
hotel selling Disneyland Merchandise (you can
buy all of that in the park or outside the park
at the Disneyland Hotel (open to the public).
Howard Johnson is
located on the opposite side of the park from
Disneyland Hotel, California Adventure, and
Paradise Hotel.
Tourists love its
value, no frills offerings, friendly and
efficient staff, and surprisingly nice
accommodations. Look no further than HOJO for
your Anaheim vacation. Rooms are clean, the pool
is clean and fun for the kids and adults, and
you need only walk across the street to enjoy
the main attraction. In some of the higher
floors you can actually spot views of the
Disneyland fireworks at night if you're too
tired to stay in the park. But you really should
go back in for the fireworks show. It is worth
it.
Among travelers
we spoke with the comments were:
"I will
definitely stay there again.”
"7th floor of
Building One, Primo! We go to Disneyland
every year-- this great hotel is our pick!"
"Lobby is nice
and the staff is extremely friendly ."
"Awesome 3rd
floor with a Disney view. 2 queen beds, balcony,
refrigerator, microwave. Loving it!"
